01 / THE WORKING PARTS

From a claim to a recoverable outcome.

Keep a live lease

Token-checked renewal and a cooperative asynchronous worker wrapper. Expired workers cannot acknowledge a newer claim.

Choose the next step

Back off and retry ordinary failures. Quarantine uncertain external outcomes for review. Inspect an atomic history of queue transitions.

Restore with review

Take a consistent SQLite snapshot, including committed WAL data. Restore to a new file with unfinished jobs quarantined.

Also included: command-line tools, a runnable uppercase-text example, an operating guide, 29 tests and their recorded output, an MIT license and a hash-checking source unpacker.

02 / AN EXAMPLE FAILURE

A slow worker returns after its lease expires.

01 · Worker A is delayed

Its lease expires while the job is still unfinished.

02 · Worker B claims the job

The queue assigns a new token for the next attempt.

03 · Worker A returns

Its old token cannot complete Worker B’s claim.

Lease tokens protect queue state. They do not undo a remote email, payment or API call. Execution is at least once; external effects need provider idempotency and receipt reconciliation.

29/29 tests passed on Windows/NTFS with Node.js 24.19.0. Checks cover four separate processes competing for a job, expired-token rejection, renewal, handler interruption, quarantine, history rollback and snapshot restore. The packaged bundle was extracted, every hash matched and the tests passed from that extraction.

No production deployment, load benchmark, other operating system or independent human review is claimed.

03 / DOWNLOAD & RUN

Readable source. A short setup.

Download sqlite-worker-kit-v1.json after purchase. Save the public unpacker below as unpack.mjs, inspect it, and run these commands with Node.js 24.19.x:

node unpack.mjs sqlite-worker-kit-v1.json NEW_DIRECTORY
cd NEW_DIRECTORY
npm test
npm run demo

The unpacker checks filenames and SHA-256 hashes, then writes 14 UTF-8 files into a new directory. It does not execute the kit. No npm install is needed. The example’s first run completes a job; the second reports idle.
